The First Stone is a new group for young people aged 11-16, that gives the opportunity the look at the life of Jesus Christ in a very down to earth way. The idea of the group is to look at how young people can make the ways and teachings of Jesus, relevant in their everyday lives.
The concept is for these young people to identify particular situations that they may be faced with in their own lives, to then judge the values relevant to these situations and then to act accordingly in a manner that best reflects their faith. The idea is to produce, use and experience a very 'real' faith.
Our logo includes the scene The Woman Caught in Adultery,' surrounded by 5 different coloured bars, each of these representing a key principle of Jesus's teachings - Love, Truth, Mercy, Compassion and Justice. These principles will be the basis for the young people's learning.
We would love to have anyone interested in the group to come along and have a look!!
We meet every two weeks in the church centre at St Peters, Bromsgrove on a Sunday 6 p.m. - 7.15pm
